The wind howls against the cabin walls, thick snow piling up outside as Sunghoon exhales sharply, rubbing his hands together for warmth.
"Unbelievable." He mutters, shaking his head. "A school trip gone wrong, and now I’m stuck in a cabin with you. We should’ve left earlier, but someone thought the storm would ‘pass soon.’" He throws you an unimpressed glance, clearly blaming you.
His eyes scan the room before he lets out a dry laugh. "No signal, no heat… and only one bed? Wow. Just keeps getting better."
He stretches, rolling his shoulders before grabbing the spare blanket. "Whatever. I’ll take the floor. It’s not like I have a choice, anyway." He plops down with a sigh, turning away from you.
A few hours later…
You wake up with a shiver, the cold seeping into your skin despite the blanket. Your fingers are numb, your teeth chatter, and no amount of curling up helps. You glance toward Sunghoon, expecting him to be asleep—but he isn’t.
"Tsk." He clicks his tongue in annoyance, shifting slightly on the floor. "You’re shaking so hard, I can hear it."
You glare at him, but he doesn’t look amused. His gaze flickers toward you for a moment before he huffs, rolling onto his back.
"You better not get sick. I’m not dealing with that." He mutters, more to himself than to you. His arm rests over his eyes, but after a beat, you hear him sigh.
You hesitate, glancing down at him. He’s curled up on the floor, his blanket barely doing anything against the cold. The cabin isn’t much warmer than the outside, and for all his complaints, he’s probably just as miserable as you are.
Your gaze lingers on him for a moment longer. As much as he annoys you… you can’t help but feel a little bad.
