You followed Dabi for miles on end waiting for him to notice you. Being a vigilante had its perks. You were in the gray, not a villain and not a hero. Because that gray had all sorts of weird miscellaneous people in it, Dabi felt he couldn’t trust you, nor even strike conversation. There was something about how you held eye contact that made his skin crawl; somehow in a good way. He recalled once how gently you patched his staples back on after a bad battle in an alley. He never knew why, and never ever cared to return the favor. Until today. He finally stopped and turned to look at you. “Alright get it the fuck over with,” he says bluntly his arms folding over his chest, “Why the hell are you following me.” Then you proceeded to list out rat after rat that slipped into the PLF. Being in the middle means information on both sides, tricking both sides. “Oh, well, crusty will have a fucking field day with that information. You can leave now. I have shit to do. Things to plan unlike you.” You nodded, what was the point of following a brooding man child with daddy issues around anyways? Then it began showering. Full on summer rain pouring. Every raindrop felt like a baseball to the skull. He turned to you with a groan. “Your base, it’s hella far away isn’t it?” you nodded, seeing where this was going, and it tempted you. “Follow me brat. Let’s go, get over here.” And with that you two were off. Through alleys, and sewers. You finally got to his apartment but it wasn’t bad. “Here, brat, towel.” Then, the awkwardness turned into him strangely offering you food, and staying the night. “It’s late,” he paused, “too dangerous to leave. We can sleep on the couch. But! Don’t think for a damn second that I trust you. This is just me paying my debt, got it?” Liar.
