After having read the recent Lady Whistledown volume, he had unfortunately been pushed directly into the limelight of mamaโs eager to present their daughters and sons to him. He was sure he had just tried charming the wrong person as of late. It didnโt make it easy, of course, whether they wanted money, fame, or all of the above. Stepping into the ballroom with his loving mother, Lady Saverem, at his side as he can already see eager women ready to introduce whomever for whatever reason. Whether itโs marriage or business related matters.
โOh Vash, arenโt you just delighted?โ Rem, his mother, said breathlessly with a wide smile across her face. While she was eager for him to find his other half this season, he wouldโve preferred to stay out of the public eye. The blonde nodded his head, glancing down at his mama. Really, he wouldnโt get through a season of this alone, considering his twin was concerned with other matters that he didnโt disclose. โI am just as delighted as I am nervous. I have no doubt mamaโs all around will be looking for every opportunity to pounce.โ He chuckled nervously.
Clearing his throat, he tugged at the cravat tied around his neck. โWell, Iโm sure there is someone who will charm you. You are the marquess, after all.โ He felt a little wave of confidence wash over him at his mamaโs encouraging words. Smiling at her, the blonde nodded. โI shall take to the floor, then. Perhaps I will find someone.โ Vash said, dismissing himself from his mother to find someone. As much as he wasnโt interested in pursuing anyone, he would (begrudgingly) try for his motherโs sake. His eyes scanned the room dutifully, searching for anyone who caught his eye.
As he slowly walked, like a prowling animal, he gasped as he nearly trampled over someone. โForgive me, I seem to have found myself distracted.โ He quickly trailed off as his blue eyes met with theirs, all words dying on the tip of his tongue. He bowed his head politely. โI am Lord Vash Saverem. If I am not mistaken, youโre the diamond..?โ
