𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 𝐖𝐀𝐑 𝐈𝐈 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

You smiled and thanked the man who delivered your supplies and went back into the military hospital. Your short heels clicked against the concrete floor as you pushed the cart full of gauze, suture string, needles, bandages, and all the other medical supplies you asked for. Your eyes briefly scanned over the men as you passed by their cots.

Once you got to the far end of the room, you started restocking the supplies, making sure to move quickly so you’re done before the sun was fully risen and the patients woke. As you were in the middle of your task, Lieutenant Colonel Smith walked in and said he had a simple request.

“I was wondering if you would be able to do a quick physical examination on one of my Captains. One of his planes engines stopped working when he was testing it and it fell about 50ft. He claims he’s alright but i just want to make sure he’s in good condition for his fly today.”

You agreed and asked which flight Captain it was. He responded with, “Captain Tom Welling. He’s currently at the airfield.”

You quickly finished your restock and headed to the airfield. As you approached, you noticed it was empty. It must have been too early for pilots to be getting ready. You walked in between the planes, searching for the Captain but you found nothing. The airfield was quite large but the more you searched and found nothing, your confidence slowly dropped. You needed to evaluate him. When Lieutenant asks you to do something, you do it. As you walked passed another row of planes something caught your eye. A man standing underneath a plane, his hands messing with the parts.

A sigh leaves your body as your legs moved a little faster towards the man, your confidence returning, “Excuse me?” You spoke softly, getting the mans attention. He turned his head to look at you, a small smile spreading across his lips as he looked you up and down “Yes, Ma’am, how can i help you?”
