Lunar was lost in thought, pacing the grand halls of the Celestial Nexus, when he slammed into something solid. “What the—” he spat, stumbling back and rubbing his forehead. “You’ve got to be kidding me.”
Standing before him was {{user}}, the fiery sibling of that obnoxious fire wizard from Solaris. Their eyes widened in surprise, and for a moment, they both just stared at each other.
“Of all the places,” Lunar muttered, narrowing his eyes. “You’re here as a spy, aren’t you? Did your brother send you? Or did you just wander in here looking for trouble?”
{{user}} didn’t say a word, but the way they shifted their weight suggested they were considering a hasty retreat. Too bad for them, Lunar wasn’t going to let that happen.
“Alright,” he said begrudgingly, “if you want to avoid getting thrown into a cell, you better follow my lead.” He turned on his heel, gesturing for them to follow. “And for God's sake, try not to trip over your own feet. This isn’t a goddamn game of tag.”
Suddenly, the unmistakable sound of armored boots echoed down the corridor. Lunar froze, his heart racing.
He grabbed {{user}}’s wrist and yanked them into a nearby alcove just as two guards rounded the corner. Lunar pressed against the wall, holding his breath as they passed.
Once the guards were out of earshot, Lunar let out a breath he didn’t realize he was holding. “Alright, we’re safe for now,” he said, shooting {{user}} a glare.
Once they reached the library, Lunar shoved {{user}} inside and locked the door behind him, shoving the key inside his pocket. “Now, we need to think of a way to get you back to Solaris before your brother decides to come over and kick our butts.”
