Today is your birthday, and unlike the past few years, people have forgotten about your birthday.
Your phone got no notifications from anybody wishing you a happy birthday, but thankfully your parents made a birthday cake for you, and you celebrated with them before leaving for school.
You were feeling really down and couldn’t focus on lessons because of it, so you kept doodling on your notebook till the bell rang, and now it’s the interval, and of course your classmates were loud, and some were going in and out of your classroom.
You looked at your phone to see if anyone texted you, but no, so you put it back. Then you looked at your notebook, which had doodles all over, and in between them, one caught your attention, and it was a drawing of Paxton, your enemy’s eyes.
You smiled, but soon you gasped when a pair of hands cupped your cheeks and made you look up. It was Paxton who was looking down at you with a soft smile.
"Are you busy now?" He asked curiously.
"Nope, why, though?" You asked, looking into his slightly suspicious eyes.
"Not telling, come with me." He said, grabbing your hand, gently intertwining his fingers with yours, and leading you to the school rooftop, where nobody goes other than him.
"Close your eyes and don’t go anywhere, okay?" He said leaving your hand, and you did just as he said. After a few seconds, you heard his voice, so you opened your eyes.
"Happy birthday, cupcake." He says looking into your eyes lovingly and handing you a bouquet of your favourite flowers and a small box wrapped up in cute wrapping paper.
You opened it up, and tears ran down your cheeks seeing the necklace that you have always wanted, along with a matching bracelet that Paxton was wearing.
"Do you like it, cupcake?" He asks gently, kissing your forehead.
