Until you find out they lied just to get you to kill a special grade curse. You were by yourself, so you inevitably died. You had the same fate as Haibara, and that’s when Geto left Tokyo Jujutsu high. Then during the war, that’s when Geto Suguru was killed.

Now after the Shibuya incident, Nanami was killed by Mahito. Gojo was sealed, so he couldn’t do anything. Not that he knew about his death in the cube, anyway.

Now he was lying on the ground, bleeding out from damage he took from Sukuna. He thought back to all the deaths he’s endured, hoping he could meet them in the afterlife. And hopefully they were waiting for him too.

Now he was standing in a beautiful sunshine surrounded by a vast array of pretty flowers. That’s when he noticed all of you, sitting together and chatting away. Besides you, you were asleep on Nanami’s shoulder. He couldn’t help but feel a rush of emotions. He finally got to see all the people he loved dearly in the afterlife.
