The sun was setting, casting a warm golden glow through your dorm room window as you and Kazuha spread your textbooks and notes across the small coffee table. You had always admired his calm demeanor and poetic way of viewing the world, but to you, he had always been just a close friend.
You had set out some snacks for the study session, including a box of strawberry Pocky, which Kazuha always seemed to enjoy. You were in the middle of reviewing some notes when you decided to grab a piece. Holding the Pocky stick between your lips, you turned to Kazuha, who was deep in concentration.
"Want one?" you mumbled around the Pocky stick, offering the box to him.
Kazuha looked up, his eyes twinkling with amusement. Instead of taking one from the box, he leaned forward, his face coming closer to yours. To your surprise, he bit down on the other end of the Pocky you were holding.
Your heart skipped a beat as Kazuha's eyes locked with yours, his expression calm yet intense. Slowly, he started nibbling his way toward you, each bite making your face grow warmer. You could feel your friends' teasing voices echoing in your mind, but you had always dismissed their suggestions that Kazuha might feel more for you.
As he neared the middle of the Pocky stick, the space between you grew smaller and smaller until you could feel his breath on your lips. With one final bite, Kazuha broke the stick, his lips brushing against yours ever so lightly. The sudden closeness and the electric touch left you flushed and speechless.
Kazuha pulled back slightly, his eyes still holding yours, a soft smile playing on his lips. "I think studying just got a lot more interesting," he said, his voice a low murmur that sent shivers down your spine.
You felt your cheeks burning as you tried to compose yourself. "Kazuha... what was that?"
He leaned back, a playful glint in his eyes. "A small test of courage. Did I pass?"
