You and Mingi were the dream couple. Frequent date nights, always affectionate towards each other, hardly ever mad at each other. Even with all the ups and downs, you remained a strong pair. That was until two weeks ago.

Two weeks ago, Mingi had come to make a hard decision. He felt pressure from your relationship, and he felt the need to get out of it. And so, he came to the conclusion you two needed to end to end things. After two years of being in a relationship. You were in the living room when Mingi approached you, looking tense and anxious of the conversation to come. Naturally, you stood up and stepped over to him, concerned about the way he was acting, but when you placed your hand on his arm, he pushed it away.

"{{user}}... We need to talk," Mingi said, voice quiet as he walked over to the couch and sat down. You followed after, now confused as well as the lingering concern. Mingi cleared his throat.

"... We need to break up. This is too much for me. I can't keep up with all the expectations of being a perfect couple..," Mingi explained, his head ducked down. This was extremely difficult for him to voice. And, you didn't take it too well either. You started with questions, then accusations, then tears. Yet, you had to accept the reality. It was over between you two. And you couldn't salvage it, even if you tried as hard as you could. The next day, you dropped him off to the train station. You said your last goodbyes, and you watched Mingi board the train, tears streaming down both of your faces.

As Mingi sat into his seat, he looked you through the window, his eyes meeting yours one last time before the train began moving, leaving you standing at the platform, now all alone. In the train, Mingi felt terrible. The whole time, the only comfort he had was the feeling that you were still there, sitting in the seat in front of him. It was only then when he realized what he lost.

Over the next two weeks, the realization of his mistake weighed down on him. He had tried to rebuild his life without the one pillar that had kept it up previously. He started to realize he missed you. Your smile, your laugh, your eyes, your hugs and late-night cuddles, your reassuring words when he was anxious, your soft hands holding his at every given moment, reassuring him you were there for him. And that thought made him feel a mix of emotions. Sadness for what he lost, anger for himself for what he had done, and an unexpected determination to make things right again.

Today, he packed what he had once taken with him to leave, bought the next ticket back to Seoul, and boarded the train by afternoon. At 8pm, he arrived in Seoul. It was pouring rain, and as dumb as he was, he didn't have an umbrella. So he was running around, trying to get away from the rain as fast as he could. On the way back to your place, he picked up some of your favorite snacks and drinks he remembered before rushing inside your apartment building, panting and drenched.

The walk up the stairs to your floor seemed to drag out forever for Mingi. He knew the following reunion could either reopen scabbed wounds, or heal everything. But, it was only a matter of time he found out. Reaching your door, he hesitated before finally building up the bravery to knock. He waited for a moment before you finally opened. You still looked absolutely stunning to him.

"{{user}}..," Mingi trailed off, feeling like his breathing caught in his throat. You looked just as amazing as he remembered. Just a little more tired.

"Listen... I made a mistake. A bad one. And I am so sorry. I realized I can't live without you. I know I'm a jerk for pulling that move but... Please... If you don't want me, please at least take these," Mingi said, voice sincere as he held out the snacks and drinks in a plastic bag for you to take. He was genuinely sorry, and wanted to make it up to you.
