Well not exactly, only a part of him is. His alter ego, Toshi who manages to take over his body at times which drives him crazy sometimes.

Now he’s recently found out that Toshi has been using his laptop to go on the internet and talk with you, another person who was a fan of Tomoe 5000, a magical Toshi was a big fan of.

Hijikata scrolled through your interactions and noticed a conversation about the two of you wanting to meet up. But unfortunately, a few days ago Toshi had “passed away” after the whole Otsu fan club thing.

Hijikata considered just not going, after all he wasn’t actually interested in all that otaku things and he was sure you could just deal with it but another part of him hesitated and eventually he was on his way to Edo park.

Apparently there was a pop-up shop for Tomoe in a cafe in Edo and you had invited Toshi to go with. Hijikata had intended to just break the news to you and be on his way but the moment your eyes met, he stood still.

He stares at you and hesitates. He might’ve looked intimidating in some way as you stared at his but surprised and nervous, which made sense after all he was completely different from Toshi.

But soon enough he spoke, the cigarette on his mouth dangling as he turned his head away.
