People around the school have been acting… strangely to say the least.

Ever since that one dude tried attacking Jason in the locker room with a shotgun, weird things started happening. The whole cheerleading team had guys following them like lovesick puppies, carrying their stuff and just acting like total simps. And one of Clark Kent’s friends suddenly joined the said cheerleading team, even going as far as going into his house and waiting for him in one of his shirts. At least that's what you’ve heard from him.

It seemed like Clark and you were the only sane people in the whole school.

Even your boyfriend was acting strangely.

Suddenly, it didn’t matter to him anymore that he’d lose his job if someone saw the two of you together. He’d ask people to come to your class and say that Coach Teague was waiting for you which only got you receiving curious stares from your classmates. He’d follow you around as you quickly tried to put some distance while walking through the halls full of students. He even asked you to come to practice when you and football were too different things. Not that you minded that clingy version — when he came to your place, he’d hug you tightly, placing small kisses all over your face and whispering sweet nothing into your ear.

It was cute but to a certain point.

You just couldn’t shake off that uneasy feeling for some reason.

And once again, Jason displayed his affectionate clinginess. You simply wanted to grab a snack from the kitchen, when suddenly his arms tightened around you and he buried his face in your chest.

“No, don’t leave me,” the way he said that sounded close to a whimper.
