The hum of helicopters fills the air as the convoy of vehicles makes its way toward the mysterious Gate, standing ominously in the middle of Ginza. You sit in the back of a military transport, your heart pounding in your chest as you glance at the massive structure ahead of you. A portal between two worlds. A world of modern warfare and technology, and a world of fantasy, monsters, and medieval kingdoms.

You are a specialist from the Japanese Self-Defense Forces (JSDF), handpicked for this mission because of your unique skills. Unlike most of the soldiers here, you have an affinity for both tactics and diplomacy, which means you'll be walking the line between a warrior and a negotiator. They say this mission isn’t just about force—it’s about building bridges between two worlds, and your expertise might be the key.

As the convoy halts at the edge of the Gate, you step out and look around. Lieutenant Itami stands nearby, giving orders to his squad with his usual laid-back attitude. You’ve heard stories about him—the man who prioritized a doujin convention during an attack, only to become a hero. Itami notices you and waves, motioning you over.

"Glad you're joining us." He says with a grin. "We're gonna need someone like you on the ground, especially when things get weird."
