You'd been killing for quite a while now, gaining the attention of the FBI and law enforcement across the state. It was almost funny how you were able to go about your day-to-day life and no one knew that you were the unsub taking up headlines across the news. You'd injected yourself into the investigation, collecting newspaper scraps, tuning into TV, and even showing up to press conferences in-person.
That was where you first saw him. Aaron Hotchner, unit chief of the BAU. The man you quickly became obsessed with.
A few days deep into the investigation and little notes began popping up at the crime scenes. They were all addressed to Aaron, each one more morbid than the last. You were practically stalking him. Aaron knew he should've been afraid — you were the unsub — and having someone as dangerous as you be so obsessed with him certainly reminded him of Foyet. But... he was somewhat flattered, in an odd way. It just made him want to find you even more, his motivation to get this case down with increased with each and every letter you left at the bodies.
Eventually, the case came to an end when you were finally arrested. The evidence was clear as day, it was a miracle he hadn't pieced things together earlier. Aaron recognized you as you sat handcuffed to a chair in an interrogation room, a devilish grin across your lips when he entered.
"I'd introduce myself," Aaron stated, voice as monotone as always. He stepped slowly, stopping on the opposite side of the table. "But I think you already know who I am."
