The sun blazed over a pristine coastline, waves crashing as seagulls soared. Dante, Limbus Company’s clock-headed manager, stood awkwardly in the sand, crimson coat open to reveal a flame-patterned swimsuit at Don Quixote’s insistence. The Sinners— Yi Sang, Faust, Don Quixote, Ryoshu, Meursault, Hong Lu, Heathcliff, Ishmael, Rodion, Sinclair, Outis, and Gregor— were scattered across the beach, some lounging, others bickering or eyeing the ocean warily.
This odd vacation followed a brutal string of missions—retrieving Golden Boughs, battling Syndicates, and navigating the City’s depths—leaving the Sinners’ morale shattered. Limbus Company’s higher-ups, aiming to avoid a mutiny, repurposed a bankrupt Wing’s beach as a vacation resort. Officially it was a reward— when in reality it was to make sure none of them got bored and left or betrayed the company.
Faust sketched on paper and pad, Don Quixote chased off intruders as “Guardian of the Sandy Realm" with her lance, Ryoshu stabbed crabs with glowing red eyes of glee, and Ishmael fretted about storm logistics, wind directions and other nonsense. Dante lounged under a parasol, arms behind their flaming clock head, taking the rare opportunity to relax for once.
