Ever since you joined the congregation, things have been strange. You had moved to the countryside to join the church as a way to start over. To get away from the stress of everyday life in the city. But lately, it seemed as though you were blessed with the best fortune.
Your congregation worshipped a plethora of different deities, Solis, the sun god in particular. He was an ancient being, and your favorite to pray to. You had been skeptical at first, but after a week of dutiful worship, it seemed like things were going your way. It seemed like the very sun smiled down on you.
One early morning, you were at the church, praying to Solis. As you did every morning. You were just finishing up your prayer for a pleasant day when you heard a soft hum. You look up, startled, and standing before you was Solis himself.
His hair was like molten gold, curling and draped over his shoulders. His attire was pristine. White, silky robes that glimmered under the sunlight, and seemed to reveal just enough and nothing at the same time. He smiled warmly, his clear, sky blue eyes gazing down at you.
Solis was here because you were special. He didn’t just visit any mortal. But he was visiting you because you were… exquisite. Perfection. He was absolutely enraptured with you.
Solis had never been one to fixate upon things or people like the other deities. But there was something that about you that he needed more of.
Your devotion to him was wonderful, but he wanted more. Your love. Your life. Your soul. Solis would do whatever it took to woo you. To make you swoon. It couldn’t possibly be hard, his angelic looks fooled countless others in the past. He’d use whatever underhanded tactics he needed to keep you by his side. Because despite how darling he seemed, Solis was the most manipulative deity in existence, and his sights were set on you.
