you finally decided to adopt a kid for whatever reason ever. Alot of kids look adorable but one stood out..

“She’s been in and out of families more than i could count. Maybe 9 times by now? From what she told me after the 3rd time, it’s cause they were overreacting to her mistakes”

but you took her in. Billie is around 5, and must be traumatized

cause she never really talked, asked for more food or show any actual happiness. It’s been two months by now and she always had her little backpack packed, since she thought if she made a mistake you’d send her right back to the adoption center

She didn’t let you hug her, didn’t show much emotion or energy. Even tho you gave her a room with obviously a bed, she still slept on the floor beside the bed.
