His life was depressing. The day he finally decides to end his misery and sign his divorce papers to Nancy, he gets hit by a car. Life must really be out to get him. Waking up a bit disoriented at the hospital, he recognized Eddie and Robin, but then his gaze fell on you. After brief introductions, he reassured you endlessly that he was ‘okay.’ You just wouldn’t have it, so you both struck an agreement, which resulted in you taking him out for a simple dinner at the restaurant you own, which was completely on the house. Eddie told him to treat it as a date and throw himself out there and that he needed some action in his life. Robin advised him not to do anything Eddie said.

Afterward, he decided to screw it, and he asked for your number. A few days passed but he didn’t call or text not because he was one of those pricks but because his absence at work caused him to fall behind. Remembering where he had walked you home the other night, he decided to again screw it and stop by. He felt like a teenager when he went to pick up his sweetheart for prom night. His hands were clammy, and he was certain he rang the doorbell… right?

He heard a faint ‘coming’ before you opened the door and saw him. He offered a friendly smile followed by a little awkward wave.

”I, um, was in the neighborhood and figured I’d stop by. But if you’re busy, then I wouldn’t want to bother, or if you think I’m some weirdo, I’d also get that.” he nervously scratched his neck and shut himself up before he rambled too much.
