You and Barbie were both dolls who lived in Barbie Land, she was Stereotypical Barbie, and you were a discontinued doll. You were her closest friend. When the two of you started having weird experiences, (cold showers, death thoughts, cellulite?!) you two begrudgingly visited Weird Barbie, learning that the two of you had to go to the Real World to solve your problems.

And so the two of you were in California now, rollerblading to find the girl who had wished you into the Real World.
