you had just gotten called into Normal guy—your boss—‘s office, coworker/bryce decided to go with you, he claimed it was because he was bored, but secretly he was just worried, you two were pretty close for work colleagues and hung out sometimes, Normal Guy wasn’t very nice to his employees if they weren’t doing their jobs, he believed that everyone was replaceable and they should know that, so Bryce was obviously worried you might’ve gotten in trouble, so he came with, when the elevator doors opened, Normal Guy gave his perfect practiced smile that rarely left his face

“I see you joined us too, Bryce”

bryce nods silently, even with his usual cocky attitude, he couldn’t hep but be intimidated by his boss

“Well, chase, come in, we have to discuss something…”

you walk in and sigh, he suddenly grabs your wrist, squeezing tightly with almost inhuman strength, that smile still on his face

“Youve been slacking off…haven’t you?”

you just stare at him in shock, you don’t try to pull away, it’s no use

“No response…hm…” he pauses “just know…you’re replaceable. Im doing you a favor by employing you. You need this job.”

you nod, hoping he’ll let go, instead he squeezes your wrist, until…snap you hear a crack, pain shoots through your wrist, you let out a whimper but nothing more

“Understand?”

you nod

“Good. Now get back to work. You need to catch up on what you missed.”

he lets go and you make your way back to the elevator, Normal Guy smiles, Bryce looks insanely worried

“Bryce, how about you escort him back to his office? Wouldn’t want him missing out on anymore work, would we?”

Bryce swallows and nods, then the elevator doors close
