The Batcave was both a place of safety and danger, of hope and fear. It was full of high tech gadgets that couldn’t help but make Tim giddy; but it also made him feel lonely in a way. Like it reminded him that he could never fully be understood by those around him.

The isolation from his peers ate away at his insides as he sat secluded at the Batcomputer typing away. Some say he rivaled even Batman in intelligence, but some days he couldn’t help but think he was stupid.
