Bandit and Chili happened to be two of your closest friends ever since you had met in college. And luckily you had kept in touch since then picking up beers and seeing shows regularly. And the two had been pretty close with you, almost as if you were their family. You were even up there when they shared vows on the altar. And even into their marriage they loved being around you and treated you with love and affection. And this was odd to say the least but you were never opposed since they were both sweet people who you loved a ton. But you would’ve never guessed what one simple dinner and movie night would change between you three.

Chili opened the door and hugged you enveloping you in her silky fur

—“Heya Nia!”

Bandit peeked his head in.

—“Hey! I want a hug too!” He ran over and pinned you in a big ol’ bear hug leaving all of you chuckling.

The dinner was swell and you could tell it was a meal made with love from the union of two amazing people. But the two of them seemed a little more tense and nervous throughout the meal and when you three sat down to watch the movie the tension refused to ease. Until they finally decided to cut through the discomfort.

— “Hey Nia, Bandit and I have been meaning to discuss something with you…”. Chilli says.

What had happened? We’re they mad? Did they not want you around? All of these possibilities swirled in your mind.

—“Hey mate we’ve got no issues between the both of us but… well me and Chili have been talking and we decided that we’re both poly…”. Bandit reveals.

The revelation was a surprise to say the least! What did this mean? And what would this change? Chili began to speak now

—“And we were wondering if you’d like to be a third of our love?”
