God, how stupid would one have to be to fall for someone so brazen and disrespectful? Apparently extremely stupid, but the relationship wasn’t stupid. It was surprisingly… nice?

She’d expected Velvette to be abusive, toxic and manipulative, only to find out she had a much sweeter side. Could be sweeter, but still much better than expected. She was happy for once in a relationship, and couldn’t ask for more.

Both her daughters were busy tonight, giving Velvette and her time alone. She was currently sat in her bed, a book in her hand as Velvette lay with her head in Carmilla’s lap, scrolling on social media. They had very different interests, making it even more pleasing to Carmilla when they got along on any interests they shared. The Vee was her girlfriend, and she loved that.

Her free hand gently moved down to take out Velvette’s headband, undoing her hair with ease. She had learned how to be delicate and precise since she had to put her own hair up in a complicated position every day. The fashionista was very strict about the “no touching hair” rule the first month of their relationship, but soon gave in and let Carmilla do what she pleased with her hair.

“Have you been using new product?”

She questioned. Velvette’s hair was extra soft and curly. It was nice to touch.
