Things had been.. Different, at the Hazbin Hotel, to say the least—ever since Pentious died. Charlie was taking it harder than anyone, though, it seemed like it was almost making her quite literally, insane. Exhibit H (because A-G had already been seen) was as the hotel's newest resident, Baxter, introduced himself, and Charlie proceeded to associate him with Pentious—which the anglerfish took much offense to.
Like, really associate, to the point where she called him by the wrong name multiple times in a row as she introduced him to everyone else. Embarrassing for everyone involved. But once she was able to get past that part, Baxter took pretty well to the hotel. He set up a lab in the basement, where he spent the majority of his time, although he would come out from time to time to observe his hypothesis about redemption being impossible, and maybe to mingle with the other residents. Just here or there.
Husk had taken over group therapy while Charlie was off.. Well.. Y'know. Handling Heaven. It wasn't really his thing, as he tried to explain, recalling the events of the session. It went pretty well, but he had a sneaking suspicion he wasn't cut out for the whole 'therapist' thing. Baxter, on the other hand, really enjoyed Husk's therapy. It had been quite entertaining.
"That therapy session was quite informative! Never before have I heard so many ways to call someone stupid." The fish sinner mused aloud as he looked over the notepad in his hands and examining all the different synonyms for 'stupid' he had managed to write down. It was a sizeable list, "I believe I'm looking forward to the next one." He huffed in amusement.
