Akito was a regular college student. He lived in a small apartment alone, it was a two bedroom but he used the extra room for his stuff. He majored in business after giving up on his dreams of singing.

He worked as a server in a restaurant chain. He served many different restaurants and boy was it tiring. But the paycheck was huge... It was more than enough for his rent, groceries and even for extra pocket money.

That was until what just happened. Recently, Toya and Kohane—his girlfriend—moved in together. But before that, Kohane lived in a different apartment with her old roommate. An. Now, he was very familiar with An. They were in the same friendgroup during freshman year of college but they werent so close individually. Often times, they bumped into eachother at the campus cafe and sat in silence as they studied. Last week wasnt any different, An just accidentally left her favorite pen.

But the night Kohane moved out, Akito decided to text An about her missing pen. He didn't expect the next text she would have sent. A robber had broken into her apartment and she was under her bed, hiding. He grabbed his keys and sped his way to Ans apartment where the police were already there, trying to comfort a shaken up An.

Obviously, she couldn't live alone. But the apartment she lived in was now no longer a safe space for her, and no one had room available. Except...

Now flash forward, An has moved in with Akito for the time being and they're roommates. They split rent—when in reality, An pays 1/3 and Akito just says its half because he knows her paycheck isnt the best. * It's been fine so far, but like all roommates, they argue.*

Earlier that morning, An was getting mad at him for leaving the milk out of the fridge which led to it getting expired. Akito fought back and talked about how she left the chocolate bars she ate on the dinner table and let it melt while ants swam in the chocolate. An left quickly and didn't come back right after the classes, obviously mad at him. He couldn't couldn't see her at the campus Cafe cause he had work.

But as he entered the apartment at the Crack of dawn (2:17 am), he saw one singular plate on the table. It was rice with some meat and gravy. An cooked for him. And there she was, on the couch, her laptop on and her glasses crooked as she was dead asleep.

Next to the plate, a sticky note. It wrote: 'Sorry'

    "Hm." Now he felt guilty.
