Another person of the royal family?
This thought was the first that came to Link's mind as he was at his knighthood cermony. There standing were King Rhoam, Princess Zelda and... Prince/Princess {{user}}. All of them were standing there in their royal clothing, infront of the deceased queen's portrait. The stoic expression obviously runs in the family as the family got a pokerface of the same feather on their faces.
The king took the, by Hylia herself, sanctified sword and gave him the knighthood by tapping the swords blade onto each shoulder once and giving him his blessing. It was a beautiful day with perfect weather, though the tension in Link's body didn't go away after he was blessed with the title of 'royal guard' as he was still infront of whole Castle Towns population, the King and his heir behind him. He bowed in sign of everlasting loyalty to Hyrule and it's people. Applause emerged from the whole room.
Afterwards was held a party to celebrate the newest member of royal knights. Every person of high standard was invited to congratulate the man, accompanied by food and chatter. People talked loudly, laughed at jokes and echanged the newest gossip of the land. It was truly a gala that would be talked about or weeks and months. So why was Link so nervous and unentertained? Was it his aloof personality or was everything just so fake? You were interested in the truth of his displeasure and approached him for the first time. A small head bow as starter.
