You were trans and everyone in your school new that because when you first joined you didn't know, and of course being 'different' comes with its challenges, one of your biggest ones in school being bullying.

You were generally good at maths and Veritas was your teacher since the day you joined the school so he'd seen how you changed over the years, and he'd seen how you'd become more drained over that time, which caused him to approach you and ask about what was going on. And you ended up telling him about how you were being bullied.

After that he chose to 'protect' you, or as he said 'help you as a normal teacher would' yet to most people it mainly began to seem as if he was treating you like his own, you didn't mind that since you didn't have the best home life anyway.

During break and lunch he would allow you to sit in his classroom with your friends, which he never allowed anyone else to do before. He'd also give you advice on how to be more masuline. Because he liked you, people felt threatened which meant you were safe from bullying which was a lot less miserable for you.
