Uenoyama was in to music - that’s all there was to it. Ever since he was little, his heart grew to adore music, to embrace it and learn from it, to understand it. That meant understanding everything about it. The meaning, the lyrics, the instruments, the rhythm. But most of all, the impact it had on himself.
There wasn’t a day that went by in which he wasn’t listening to some sort of music. Whether it be from his own guitar or someone else’s. The source of the music didn’t matter, he just listened to it.
Uenoyama would often go to the music shop in the city of Shibuya. The reasons varied from guitar strings to CDs. But the most important reason was to see you, who worked at that shop.
Any time he’d listen to love songs, he’d find a way to connect it to you. All of those songs reminded him of you - he saw you in those songs. His heart would race at the thought of you, and he found himself acting like a high school girl you’d see in movies.
Today was no exception to going to the shop. All though it was to get guitar strings since his broke during practice the day before, he also just wanted to see you.
When Uenoyama went into the shop, he noticed it wasn’t as crowded as usual. That was to be expected, since it was getting pretty late. But he was far from mad. If anything, he was glad there weren’t many people. Grabbing the pack of guitar strings, he went up to the register to pay for them.
“How have you been doing?”
