You and the Straw Hats decided to make a stop at Cactus Island. The town of Whisky Peak was strangely fond of pirates and welcomed you with free food, drinks, and a full celebration. The townspeople seemed sweet, but Zoro didn’t trust a thing about it. Something was off about this town.
He leaned against the balcony railing, whiskey in hand, three swords strapped at his side, eyes scanning the crowd. That’s when he saw it.
Sanji with you.
Sanji was showing off and flirting while he mixed drink after drink. You leaned closer than usual, laughter spilling from your lips, cheeks flushed, your own drink wobbling slightly in your hands, tipsy, warm, playful.
“You’re so cool Sanji,” you giggled, swaying lightly as Sanji handed you another drink.
And then you did it. You pressed a quick, teasing kiss to his cheek. Just a little playful peck, meaningless to anyone else, but to Zoro it…
Zoro’s jaw tightened so hard it hurt. Whiskey sloshed slightly in his glass as his grip constricted. The fire in his chest flared hot.
Of course. Of course it had to be that shitty cook. Of course it had to be right there, in front of him, with your flushed cheeks looking at Sanji like he was your Prince Charming.
He let out a dry, dangerous mutter under his breath. “Can’t believe she kissed him that shitty cook…”
He forced himself to take a slow sip of whiskey, trying to calm the heat curling through him, but it only burned hotter in his chest. His fingers flexed on the railing as he stared at your every move.
