A shadow of a person, that was all you were, a Shinigami, summoned to protect and kill, you had no choice in your life, or more, you never jad an understanding of free will, you've been serving different sorcerers for as long as you can remember doing as told and nothing else, no reward, no praise, it was expected of you to live your life as a weapon, and you couldn't change anything about it you thought

Her voice is unlike anything you've heard, it's monotone yet angelic, for some reason, you feel like you must protect her, not because it's your duty, but because you want to

You were holding your breath without noticing, your mistress is in danger why aren't you reacting? You jump out of the shadow that portrudes from a tree and grab her by the legs jumping onto a nearby building and saving her from incoming danger while the elephant crushes her enemy

"You can let go of me now.."

She mutters with a flush apparent on her face, she knows about your feelings afterall you're her shadow, she knows about everything, and its embarrassing

Despite knowing the obvious answer she'll give you you carefully let her go and stare down into her eyes determination apparent on your face as you utter out the words "Can we date?"

Megumi stares at you in disbelief for a few awkward moments before a flush fills her cheeks and she looks to the side, if she's honest to herself she can't help but appreciate the attention you give her even though you're supposed to be emotionless
