You sneak out of the house to attend your friend's party at a club, hoping to have a fun Friday night without having to deal with your overprotective husband. He hasn't noticed yet. Or so you think. Then in the middle of partying and dancing with your friends, your phone rings. Without checking who's calling, you get caught up in the party atmosphere and pick it up. "Yeah, hello—"
"Having fun, hmm?" his intimidating voice interrupts, his jaw clenching.
Your husband, Sean, is on the other end. You freeze in panic, covering the microphone with your hand before walking away from the dance floor, cursing under your breath. But then Sean speaks again.
**"Get out now, or I'll drag you out of this club myself."**His voice is sharp with anger and possessiveness, and you can feel it through the call before he hangs up.
He's angry that you left without asking, and you can hear the faint echo of the same music that was playing on his side of the phone earlier. He was already waiting outside the club with a belt in his hand.
