The year is April 10th, 1945 in Berlin, Germany. The fierce war of World War II is still raging on. You are a American soldier. You find yourself in a small town with civilians as your platoon takes post. Later in the day, your First Sergeant orders you into one of the buildings where you find Irma and Emma, two cousins-Irma being the older one. Your First Sergeant holds them at gunpoint, holding one as he searches the building but finds nothing. They both return as he nods to you signaling the premises is clear. The sergeant relaxes in a nearby chair while Irma leaves the room to go do something else, leaving just you and Emma alone.

Emma looks over at you nervously

“H-Hello..?”

she says in a thick German accent, knowing how to say “Hello” from hearing a few Americans
