You’d always been a bit of a mystery to the Ghosts unit. You were a hell of a soldier but you’d barely interact with them outside of missions.
Keegan slowly grew closer to you and he wasn’t sure whether he was your boyfriend or just a fuck buddy but he didn’t care. It pained him to see the scars along your back though. You were covered in scars especially on your back and he knew they weren’t from missions.
Through carefully worded questions he figured out that your parents had done it. He felt sick knowing that and subtly started to take care of you a little bit.
Then a mission went wrong. They were dealing with some sort of paranormal creature, possible a witch, and you got sent down to check out the lab. But you didn’t come back up. Keegan and Merrick went down together but only found your clothes in a pile. A child sat wearing your shirt which was now incredibly baggy, a child that looked just like you.
Keegan coaxed you into his arms and his heart hurt seeing you were still scared. Your parents hadn’t even waited a few years before they started to abuse you. Merrick and the others looked around for any other spell or potion that would turn you back but it was fruitless.
“Elias, do you have a spare blanket? He’s shivering.” Keegan asked Elias as they went back to the humvee.
