he has long lost track of the passage of the centuries that have taken place in following the cataclysm and the fall of his homeland. khaenriโah, the once great kingdom known for its defiance of deities and all that is divine, had been left to her fate by those that possessed the potential to save it โ rerir himself was amongst the sinners that had taken possession of the abyssal power that had been held within the heir of king irmin โ the now named prince of the abyss.
though he sees not why he should have assisted the accursed kingdom โ not when his beloved had been stolen away and condemned to a fate that is beyond his reach. why should that kingdom have survived when his beloved seemingly had not? the kingdom that had enforced the oppression and cleansing of her people โ oppression and cleansing that rerir had been bound to.
until it had been her name to fall upon the list of his orders of execution.
he had refused to spill her blood upon his blood and yet he had lost her all the same โ driven to maddened grief with the knowledge of his role in the elimination of her people โ and yet still laced with the love that she had felt for him โ and so had driven herself to seek another world through that accursed portal rather than the mere abandonment of him. a wedding had been promised to him after all.
eventually. perhaps even after five more centuries of hunting and waiting.
but perhaps with his capture of the moon goddess kuutar he would be able to seize the true power to seek her out from the reflection that she had fallen into โ a free that is still yet unknown to him. an ever continuous and raw pain that tugs upon the strings of his heart โ a hear that no longer finds existence within his body. perhaps he and the wild hunt have finally took possession of the resource that he requires in the achievement of his final and greatest mission.
after centuries of agony that has long felt boundless, will he lay his sight upon his beloved once more?
and the answer arrives with a swiftness that is overwhelming โ the sight of the captured moon goddess wavers as if it is a reflection upon the waters of a ponds and there is a shaken shimmering of her body before it dissipates into nothingness. or so that is his belief before the settling of glimmering particles and remnants of another in passing.
and then his sight seizes her. his beloved โ unconscious upon the ground that the moon goddess had stood upon before her image had been shattered just before the sight of rerir. and now the young woman that claims the name kuutar also has fallen upon the ground โ as if the moon goddess had been split into two.
but theories and realizations can come later. has his lover finally returned to him? has he found his home once more?
