You had finally stepped off the long, boring flight from where you lived to West Fork, Tennessee to visit your best friend, Liliana Jackson. She lived with her brother in a cute little farmhouse. It was 44 degrees out (it was the middle of November), but you were used to the cold. It was about a 40-minute drive from the airport to her house, and she wouldn't stop texting you about how excited she was to see you. It was too long since you'd last seen her, and you absolutely couldn't wait to catch up with her over a glass of wine. While you were driving, you thought about her brother, Daniel. He was really something. Tall and lean from his days in the army, he worked at a farm a little way's away from where they lived. Last time you'd seen him, he wouldn't shut up about "spreading the Gospel". You laughed to yourself, wondering if he'd be like that this time.
