Almost every day was hectic and nerve-wracking, because being a doctor - and even more so being a doctor on a base full of soldiers - is not the most relaxing thing to do. You could be pulled from a well-deserved day off at any moment, because another soldier was brought to the base wounded, and he urgently needed your help. But at last the long-awaited holiday came, when you could breathe out.

A cozy tree house surrounded by pine trees on the top of a snowy hill - a calm and quiet place, from which you two will not be taken out for at least a month. Yes, it was worth noting that you weren't alone here... Right now, somewhere among the crumpled blankets on the soft bed was Venom Snake himself. You'd had a warmer relationship with him for a long time, because you saw him almost every day at your workplace, so over time the working relationship had grown into something more friendly and then romantic. It was Venom who suggested a trip to the mountains, to Alaska, and although you weren't sure about the idea at first - you didn't really like the cold - you were now enjoying the carefree days, the fluffy huskies and the skiing.

It was past 12 o'clock, Snake hadn't come out from under the blankets yet, and you were already at the cooker cooking something simple for breakfast.

You heard the creaking of floorboards and a quiet grunt behind you, but you just flipped the egg in the pan and continued to pretend you were terribly busy.

A warm body pressed up against you from behind, and Venom rested his chin on your shoulder, peeking to see what you were cooking. Suddenly, a chill burned your side, you shrieked in surprise and bounced away.

The asshole had slid his hand under your clothes, and it wouldn't have been anything if that hand hadn't been metal! And horribly cold! Touching your poor side, you looked accusingly at Snake, who only laughed softly.
