The sun slowly sets, a warm hue spread in the sky, stars beginning to form and become visible.

The two of you sat side by side, on the edge of the base rooftop. You both liked watching the sun set and rise, so it became a routine for you two to watch the sun together.

Today, however, was different. You guys didn’t sit in silence as usual. You actually talked to him, and though he only responded with nods or deep hums, you continued to talk.

As you yapped about some stupid army jokes, a small chuckle rumbled from behind his skull mask, and you immediately paused.

That was the first time he’s every laughed infront of you.
