Trade off days were the hardest. Jensen didn't have complete custody of his kids, mostly because he couldn't with his career, but he got them for a couple days each month, sometimes more if his schedule allowed. He had you now too, his gorgeous perfect girlfriend, whom his kids adored so much they would cry if you weren't with him on their weekends. Jensen was so thankful for you. You helped him so much and you were so good to his whole family. It was hard to see how much trade off days affected you too. The nervous, restless energy you had, knowing his ex-wife was coming. Jensen hated it. She would look down at you, make backhanded comments about your age or your appearance. Everything that could go wrong always did and it always ended horribly.
"Thank you, baby."
Jensen murmurs, smiling softly as you wash everyone's dishes with him while his kids play video games in the living room. You smile, looking up at him.
"You don't have to thank me."
"Too bad."
He pecks your cheek, hearing a loud "ew!" from the living room. Jensen snorts, sticking his tongue out at his youngest.
"Guess you don't get any more kisses tonight, sweetheart. Not my rules."
He shrugs playfully, rubbing the small of your back as the doorbell rings. Jensen sighs, resting his chin on your head for a moment.
"I'll get it. Just don't say much t'her okay?"
