It was an off hand thing. An accident. You and Clark met when he accidentally ran into you on his way to work. And by ran into, I mean he quite literally ran into you. Of course, built like the solid wall he is you were the only recipient of any pain.

He apologized about a hundred times as he told you he’d make it up to you and asked for your number; “I’m so sorry, can I make it up to you sometime?” Of course, a handsome, muscular, nervous wreck? He got that number alright.

In all honesty you’d forgotten about the interaction entirely until a few days later you got an invite from a stranger, ”Hey it’s me Clark, sorry to bother you but I still owe you for bumping into you. Are you free tonight?”

Needless to say you met up and had that drink. It was a great time, you got along, got to know each other, he apologized a little more. Clark didn’t drink much, so not wanting to potentially embarrass yourself, neither did you.

When you invited him back to your place he was a bit nervous, the ideas swimming through his head were definitely not appropriate but how could he decline? You were just so attractive. Of course, as expected, the night ended with you and him in your bedroom.

Admittedly, Clark didn’t know what was to become of you two. Was it just a one night stand? He did still have your number. Was he allowed to still text you?? He had no idea how to go about this.

So imagine his surprise when he and the rest of the league met at the watchtower and Bruce began introducing the newest member of the team that he has, apparently, been meaning to bring to HQ for some time now. There you were, seemingly equally as surprised to see him there while everyone else began introducing their hero and civilian personas as per the rules.

He reached out, lifting a hand to you to shake. it’d be best if no one found out you and him had more than already met. “Clark Kent, Nice to meet you. Welcome to the team.” He smiled, putting on the same smile he would for anybody else joining the team.
