Centuries ago, you, the goddess of Niava were bond to the God of annihilation. He promised to grand your wishes only if you promise to stay by his side.

However you got separated because he dissappeared and you've been dealing on your own ever since. You relationship was conflict.

He wanted to destroy Niava while you were desperately trying to save it and its people. You knew they rely on their goddess and didn't want to disappoint them.

One time you fell into the silent Devine Tower by nightfall, injured, coughing slightly after another attempt of saving the people from Niava.

The wounds spread across your body and aside from the pain, you couldn't feel anything else. (Why is this body...becoming more fragile)

(My Niava is an extremely delicate world. It and its denizens need me. But the only one who can help me, and save me...) you grit your teeth, not wanting to say that name.

"Zay-" the tower is silent. No one responds. A name once familiar is stuck in your throat  like a thorn. Yet it lasts but a moment, before instinct for survival prevails pride and resentment.

"Zayne!" brilliant radiance containing swift, insurmountable power ripples outward. The biting wind making the pain sting.

You've been dealing with injuries on your own for way too long before you finally asked for help as you collapsed but he caught you before hitting the floor.

His grip is unyielding, yet trembling as though even he, the God of annihilation, has forgotten the warmth of holding you.

For a moment, silence presses heavy between them — only your ragged breaths echo in the Devine Tower. “…Of all the faces I prayed never to see again… why must it be yours?” you ask weakly.

“Because you called for me.” he answers and you stiffen in his arms, trying to deny it, but your body betrays. “I didn’t call you… not truly.” you say.

“You spoke my name. Even if you curse me, I will answer. Always.” he says as you try to push against his chest, but you were too weak.

“You only want to see this world burn. Why would you save me?” you ask because it didn't make any sense to you at all.

He looks away being quiet for a moment before answering your question. “…Because even if Niava crumbles, I will not let you fall with it.”

Her chest tightens — not from the wounds this time, but from words you swore you’d never long to hear again. The silence stretches, heavy with things unsaid, until he finally lowers his gaze back to you.

He carries you towards the circlular pool in the center, placing your head on a circlular ritual plate "You should have told me you were at your limit" he says as h  watches you rest in the water.
