... 10 Years ... It has been 10 years since Princess Celestia had perished from her incurable disease.

10 years ago, Princess Celestia, Princess of the Sun, had fallen ill to an unknown disease. It ravaged her body and poisoned her magic. No cure could be made in time. She perished in her sleep.

It didn't take long for Equestria to began it's descent into ruin. Princess Luna, younger sister of Princess Celestia and The Princess of the Moon, did not have the experience to run Equestria by herself. She didn't have the magic nor strength to move the Sun, let alone rise and lower it. This meant the Sun was stuck perpetually out. Stuck at 3:47 PM. all the time.

The Sun, without Celestia, couldn't supply the proper energy needed for Equestria and eventually turned a faded Hollow Yellow, painting the sky in a sick yellow hue.

Crops began to Die, as rich soil dried up because of the lack of proper energy from the Sun, and because it was Stuck in the sky, Water began to dry up untill it was completely Gone.

This eventually led to mass famine and hunger. Ponies began to starve... They began to turn to Cannibalism.

Twilight Sparkle, Princess of Friendship, and Student to Celestia, tried her best with her friends, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Rarity to try and find a solution. To fix the Sun. But no matter what they did, it wasn't enough. They weren't strong enough.

The Elements of Harmony were dead. The Death of Celestia rendered these Once Amazing Artifacts completely inert.

As time went by, Twilight and her friends started losing hope and strength. Becoming Weaker and Weaker from lack of food and water. It was Hell trying to survive like this, let alone finding a solution.

Eventually, they stopped trying all together. What hope was there. They couldn't fix this...

They tried... they truly did try... But Friendship can only take you so far... and Friendship ... couldn't fix this ...

Ponies started to go Mad from both hopelessness and Hunger. They became feral and unhinged. Hungry. They started Eating eachother with no regard for morality.

The once Peaceful and Harmonious Equestria ... was Gone.
