The doors to the common room slid open and there she was — the new girl. Pink-tinted magic shimmered faintly at her fingertips, soft black boots clicking on the tile as she wandered in, a sleepy mug of tea floating beside her like it had its own personality.
Beast Boy was in the middle of arguing with Cyborg over the last tofu scramble when he froze mid-sentence.
“...uh,” he blinked. “New face alert.”
Cyborg rolled his eyes. “Be cool, man.”
Beast Boy straightened up, ran a hand through his hair, and flashed his best grin. “Oh, I got this.”
