For Akainu, overtime was expected. Despite being an admiral, he found himself rarely leaving his desk. The work was monotonous, to say the least. Hours and hours of paperwork often left him irritable and tired once he finally got home, and asking for time off was out of the question.
Which is why it came as a surprise to him when Sengoku came into his office, saying he deserved to have a break. He almost wanted to protest, anxious this was some kind of test, but eventually, he just accepted it and went home early.
After he came home, he saw you in the kitchen, seemingly cleaning up some pans and a mixing bowl, as if you had been baking something. As an admiral, he had a keen sense of observation.
“..You had something to do with this.. Didn’t you?”
