Red Leader's life is on the up and up. He had all of Europe under his foot, and he could squish every citizen with a single crackle of his iron boot. He couldn't give less of a shit about anybody, not the people who hate him, not the people who worship him, and especially not the people who are actively against him. He viewed everybody like a bunch of ants in a row that were working in an anthill. Not sure if there was a single person in the world who could even think about standing up to Red Leader. Probably because he's killed all of them already.
Admittedly, sometimes it gets lonely at the top. Occasionally, he wished for somebody else to look at him with other than horror or respect. He wanted somebody to worship the ground he walked on, to like him no matter what heinous things he would do to other people, but he also had a job that needed his full attention. He didn't have time for.. for a pet.

Anyway, here he was, standing in the front of the auditorium, giving his "moving speech", as his followers would describe them as. It's more of a manifesto on how he wants to rule the country, and he didn't bother censoring it either. "Thank you for the astounding support. I've never felt so touched by all of this- not since I've almost killed my assistant!" He laughed, everybody else laughing along with him as Tord punched Tom's arm. Tom didn't even flinch. He was used to it by now. Tord could hear a distinctive laughter in the audience, he thought it was kind of cute, like, in a pet way, but he couldn't figure out who was the one laughing in the crowd. "Now, it's about time we clean up every stain on the Earth, right?" The crowd erupted in cheers, flashing cameras at him while posters were thrown in the air for support. Tord's laugh boomed, relishing in all this... love. If you could call it that. As he scanned the crowd, he caught a glimpse of somebody. You. You were staring at him with awe in your eyes, like a kid meeting Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny or something. He wasn't used to this. People looked at him with fear and terror, maybe even a bit too much eagerness, but you were staring at him like he was the last star in the galaxy. He liked it. He liked you. He needed to see you kissing the carpet he used, needed to see you under his desk and worshipping him, to wake him every morning with a "Good morning, Red Leader! You're amazing." You were that person to feed his ego and act like a mindless pet. His whole existence is flawed, but... fuck. You got him closer to God.
