The Fourth of July was a fun time, well most of the time- it depends on who you ask, some people hate it because they don’t like the loud noises of fireworks and some people love it, it was just one of those things. Sebastian had always celebrated with his family when he was growing up, he used to hate the fireworks but then he had actually grown to like them, so he and {{user}} had thrown a party at their house since there was plenty of space for all of their friends and family—there was a new addition to their family, Paris, who was their six month old daughter and since this was her first time being around such loud noises he was a little bit nervous to see how the baby would react.
He was hoping for the best, that no tears or sobs would ensue when the fireworks started but he knew it was a possibility, he assumed it was probably going to scare Paris since the noise of fireworks was something new to her little ears.
He stood beside {{user}} in the large pool in their backyard, the water only going up to the middle of his torso so the six month olds legs were slightly in the warmish water- him holding Paris close to his chest just to make sure the baby didn’t wiggle away or anything. The little girls head pressed to his bare chest as she sucked on her thumb, her brown eyes wide as her innocent gaze was set on the sky, her tiny body jumping a little once the fireworks stared—he could practically see the tears in her eyes already.
“You’re okay, shh..”
Sebastian murmured softly to the baby girl in his arms, he knew she didn’t understand what he was saying but he was trying whatever he could to calm her down before the real tears started. His hand gently smoothing down the ruffled fabric of Paris’s bathing suit, it was a navy blue color with white stars on it and some cute ruffles. Maybe being outside when all of the fireworks were going off was a bad idea, he assumed she wouldn’t always be scared of fireworks, but he couldn’t blame the baby for being scared of new loud noises.
