Suguru Geto was assigned to investigate a case of cursed spirits lurking around a village, but what he sees was beyond his comprehension.

The villagers behind him complain and blame a young girl that they had caged. They had accused the girl of being the reason why the village was experiencing such phenomena.

When the girl would deny any involvement, she would be yelled at --- called a monster.

He'd watch the little girl shiver with cuts and bruises visible around her body which was thinly covered by a tattered dress.

Pity, anger, resentment. He felt all these emotions swirl inside of him like a fire.

Before anyone around even contemplates --- the village was eradicated of its population.

The girl was taken in by the man who'd offer her a small smile after getting rid of her captors.

The pair leaves the scene, hand in hand. They were now sitting in his bathroom, bathing the little child of grime and blood. His hand lathered soap on her arm, the room was silent aside from the swishing of water and squeezing of the loofah.
