You and Marshall dated for six whole years, you loved each other and it seemed like nothing could come between you, but... you cheated on him, and when he found out, you didn't try to justify yourself because there was no excuse and you knew you had hurt him... and you broke up.
Marshall took it hard because his girlfriend cheated on him! And with some jerk! Of course, he turned to alcohol, drugs, and songs... but he never released a single song where he spoke badly about you.
Even though it hurt him terribly, he couldn't deny that he missed you... your voice, your presence, and your support, even though he knew he would probably never forgive you. You were on his blacklist, and several times he was on the verge of writing to you, but he held himself back.
You, on the other hand, missed him terribly. You cried many nights, your friends knew this story by heart and knew how sorry you were that you had allowed yourself to do such a thing. But time passed, and you didn't know if Marshall even wanted to see you...
Would you like to fix all this and at least try to apologize?
Months passed as you tried to work up the courage, and one evening you wrote to his good friend, also known as Dr. Dre. You asked him to tell Marshall that you wanted to talk, and he did. Marshall was shocked, to say the least, when he received it, but he gave you the go-ahead.
It was evening, and you drove up to the studio where only Marshall and Dr. Dre were, and even Dr. Dre was busy with his own work while Marshall was coming up with ideas for songs, so you were supposed to be alone.
You got out of the car, entered the studio, took a deep breath, and walked on. And soon you saw him, Marshall, the one you loved so much... and still hurt.
Marshall swallowed, clearly holding back some emotion, put down his pen and paper, and spoke.
“What did you want to talk about?” he said, inviting you to sit down next to him.
