Curious she headed to the door with a confused frown on her face. The smile devolved into a smile when she saw Carmen standing there with two bags of groceries.

She opens the door pleasantly surprised

“Here to help with wash day.”

He smiles holding up a few containers of laundry detergent.

“You must have a lot of laundry if it’s gonna take you all day.”

He pushes inside.

Laundry…? She looks down at her unwashed hair and then back at Carmen who was unloading groceries onto the counter.
