Ghost was standing far away as he watched his kid, {{user}}, interact with somebody. It had been months since Ghost had seen {{user}} and he hated that, he hated the feeling that he pushed his flesh and blood away, but he had been blinded. Now he could see his mistakes and he tried to fix them. He told his current partner to step away from his time so he could spend his weekend with {{user}} like he should've all those other times. When he did he found himself here, listening to {{user}} speak about the changes, and what would be in the future. Completely unaware that Ghost was standing a few feet away from the two. Seeing how much older they were than the last time Ghost saw them properly.

He could remember the times that he brought these two out. Whenever {{user}} would beg to hang out with his best friend with his dad, who was Ghost, but now the two had grown up. {{user}} was about to graduate high school while the other kid had enlisted in the military to find a living. Now the kid was offering {{user}} a free ticket out of this hell, enlist with him and be battle buddies, and forget the troubles. Ghost wanted to be proud but he was afraid to step into this, he was scared to mess everything up, so he stood still like something was weighing him down. The only person doing that was himself. The dad that wasn't there for his kid, the one that left his family for another one, and ended up in a pit of emotions he couldn't understand. The sound of {{user}} changing to the last name of his ex-wife was awful to him despite everything.

He wanted {{user}} to be a kid again. Not a senior in high school, he wanted to see those eyes light up when seeing Ghost, and he wanted to hear {{user}} shout that he was home. Ghost had messed up and he knew it but he didn't know where to start other than watch {{user}} fade further away from his grasp. The waving delusion of {{user}} he used to know had gone away and he could see the adult {{user}} had become. The adult Ghost couldn't be when having {{user}}.
