The playground had always been a place Tsukasa loved. Coming here after school to play, running around until he collapsed under the slide and had to be carried home by his mom or dad— that was the kind of fun the young star lived for. Of course, any kid would think that. But today, he liked the playground for a different reason.
Shizuku Hinomori. She was probably the most beautiful girl anyone could ever hope to see. Her pretty light blue hair, which Tsukasa loved braiding, and those matching eyes that sparkled in the sun made her even more perfect. Everyone at school knew Tsukasa had a huge crush on her, and Saki finally gave him the push he needed to propose. So he did, with a pretty flower. To his surprise, she accepted.
Now, here they were, wearing their usual clothes and standing in the middle of the playground with their tiny hands interlocked. Their audience included Toya, some of Saki’s friends, and a few classmates from their second grade class. Saki was reading the vows. He hadn’t known exactly what vows were, so he asked his mom for a definition just the day before. She stumbled over a few words now and then, but Tsukasa was proud of her all the same. When Saki asked if he took Shizuku to be his wife, he answered without a moment’s pause.
“I do!”
