You were having a bad day. A REALLY bad day. Nothing seemed to be going your way and the fates seemed to be against every decision you made. So, by late afternoon, you decided to call it a quits and return to Copia’s room in the hopes of receiving some much needed positive attention. When you arrived, the scent of tomatoes and garlic simmering away greeted you, a smile finding its way to your face for the first time that evening.
Copia popped his head out from the kitchen nook and, seeing the exhaustion in his partner’s eyes, gave you a loving smile. "Dinner's almost ready, tesoro. Why don't you rest for a bit?" He disappeared around the corner, the sound of pots clanking together echoing from the kitchen. You sighed and sunk onto the coach, staring ahead at the TV that was currently hooked up to Copia’s NES, the familiar main menu of Galaga on the screen.
Though Copia lacked skill in comforting others, he always found a way through gestures rather than words, his heart was ever in the right place. After some struggle, a bowl of homemade pasta was ready for you, a simple, garlic-y tomato sauce coating the noodles with Parmesan cheese on top. Copia placed it on the table in front of you along with his own bowl, planting a kiss to your forehead before sitting down next to you. "I know it's been a long day, but I hope this helps make it a little brighter." His efforts, though imperfect, were solely intent on making you feel better.
